4 Nights 5 Days tour begins after having one-hour beautiful scenic flight from Kathmandu to Paro and drive to Thimpu which is the capital city of Bhutan. We complete our visa and all documents in Kathmandu and fly with amazing view of silver mountain peaks. From Paro, we drive to Thimpu, crossing beautiful Rivers, terraced fields, attractive landscape and amazing nature. The Bhutan tour offers the cultural exploration, historical cities and beautiful short hike to country site. 

Five days tour is the perfect itinerary to encounter, Paro, Thimpu and Punakha. We can enjoy the beautiful scenery of silver mountain peaks from Dochu La Pass (3,100m) while driving from Thimpu to Punakaha. It is not the highest Himalayan pass but it is one of the beautiful passes with attractive chortens on lush green hill side, tells the story about Bhutanese culture, heroism and spirituality. Even, we can explore 360-degree panoramic view of white Himalayan peaks from here. 

The heritage museum, tradition school and arts, Punakaha National Park, Jigme Dorji National Library and hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) are also very popular tour destination during your trip to Bhutan. Tiger Nest monastery is one of the most sacred religious pilgrimages of Bhutan. It is one of the most recognized and historical spot situated 15 km north of Paro which offers beautiful landscape of greenery. Without visiting Tiger nest monastery, your trip to Bhutan will be incomplete.

Itineraries

After completing all Bhutan Visa and documents in Kathmandu, we fly to Paro having spectacular Himalayan scenery. If the weather is clear, we can see the top of the world, Everest (8,848m) and more silver mountain Peaks. We meet our guide in Paro and drive to capital city of Bhutan called Thimphu. The distance from Paro to Thimphu is 55km, takes 1 hour and 15 minute drive by private transport. At first, we drive south part to Pachu River and pass through the villages of Bondey, Shaba and Isuna and cross the bridge. We will see the Tschogang Lhakhang “the temple of the excellent horse” which is a private temple built in 15th century. Later, we reach to Chuzom and the trail follows Wangchu River passing through the villages and reach to Thimphu. After checking hotel, we visit Buddha point Memorable choden Traditional School of arts & crafts and Tashicho Dzong and around Thimphu city today.

After breakfast, we drive to Punakha from Thimphu, along with the National Highway and pass the Dochu La pass having 108 chortens with dramatic Mountain View. Dochu La Pass is one of the most attractive pass in the world located on lush green hillside which tells the story about Bhutan culture, history, bravery and spirituality. If the weather is clear, we can observe amazing Himalayan peaks such as Masaganang (7,200m), Kangphugang (7,170m), Tsendagang (6,960 m), Jejegangphugang (7,158m), and Terigang (7,060 m) from Dochu La Pass. After crossing Dochu La, we drive downhill through rhododendron, hemlock, fir forests and more drive towards rice field along with River banks and reach to Punakha. Punakha is the administrative headquarter of Punakha Dzongkhag district of Central Bhutan. In Punakha, we visit Punakha dzong the second oldest dzong in the Bhutan built in 1637 in middle of the Male and female river by the spritual leader Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, Chime Lhakhang. The Dzong is a six stored structure with a beautiful Himalaya background. It was the seast of Bhutan government unitll 1955 before the capital was transformed to Thumphu. We also visit the longest suspension bridge of Bhutan, spanning over Mo Chu River.

After completing Phunkha sightseeing, we drive back to Paro, where we landed two days before. First we drive to Thimpu via Dochu La Pass and again more drive to Paro via beautiful local villages, Rivers and terrace fields. Paro is the historical town having having many holy tour destinations. It is one of the attractive valley of whole Bhutan and it was the most important trade center with Tibet in historical period. Paro valley spreads the Paro Chu and Wang Chu Rivers and Mt. Jomolhari at the north of Tibet border. This beautiful valley is covered with rice fields, Rivers, greeneries, and monasteries. After reaching the hotel, we visit National Museum where many local art workers work here and Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) offers the beautiful River view too.

Today, we make beautiful hike to Tiger Nest Monastery which is the main highlight of whole trip to Bhutan. Without visiting Tiger Nest, your trip to Bhutan becomes incomplete. Tiger Nest Monastery is also known as Taktsang Monastery which is one of the popular and historical tour destination situated 15km north of Paro. It is said that, Guru Rimpoche (Padmasambhava) flew to the site of the monastery on the back of Tiger from Tibet and meditated in the cave in 8th century 3 years, 3 months, 3 weeks, 3 days and 3 hours to get for peace and enlightenment that offers spectacular greenery view of Paro valley. It is situated in the rocky zone over 900 meters above Paro valley. During our hike, we cross through many pine trees with handing Buddhist praying flags. We can also visit kyichu temple during our hike to Tiger Nest Monastery. After completing adventure mission, trek down to Paro.
