Paldor Peak climbing lies at the south-east end of Ganesh Himal marking the junction of the Tiru and Karpu Dandas. They both lies at the head of the Mailung Khola, a tributary of the Trisuli Gandaki River. The name Ganesh is taken from the elephant-headed Hindu god of good luck, probably the most popular deity in the Kathmandu Valley.
The summit rewards breathtaking vistas of Ganesh I (7,406m/24,298ft) Ganesh V (6,950m/22,802ft) Langtang Lirung, Manaslu, and Shishapangma. The quickest approach to Paldor and Ganesh Himal is from Sabru near Dunche in the Trisuli valley. It takes 5-7 hrs from. From here the trail crosses the Langtang Khola to Sabrubesi. After crossing the Bhote Kosi River the route leads via the Tamang villages of Tangjet and Gatlang. Then heads northwards along the ridge before dropping into the forest above Mailung Khola to pick up the newly built road that leads to an army post.

After having successful climbing of Paldor peak we return back to Somdang and return back to Kathmandu from different routes of Dhading district via Sertung and Jharlang village.

Itineraries
Your adventure and cultural trip to Nepal begins after your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu. After you will land, get your handbag and go to the immigration office where you can get your Nepal visa. There must be many people; need to fill the form before apply for visa and get down to the 1st floor where you will wait for your suitcase. After getting suitcase, go outside where our office member shows your Name in white paper sheet and transfer to Hotel. We have booked your hotel in Thamel which is the touristic hub of Nepal.
After breakfast, your cultural tour begins where our Guide will brief to you about whole Nepal including history, culture, people, religion, geography and living standard of People. You will visit popular world Heritage sites of Nepal such as Swyambhunath (Monkey Temple) - Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site, Patan Durbar Square – Old King Palace with Beautiful Temples and Houses, Pashupatinath Temple - a popular Hindu temple of South Asia and Boudhanath Stupa – biggest Buddhist stupa with monastery around. It is full-day guided city tour where you will learn most important historical and cultural things of Nepal. After you will return back to Hotel from sightseeing, meet with your Trekking Guide and brief about trekking program.
We drive to north of Kathmandu through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Besi passing through Dhunche. While passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli River you catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. As you pass through Dhunche you feel as if you are heading towards deep land. At the same time, you notice that the road is still under construction.
While trekking you experience of the Tamang culture. You can see scenery from view point. This day you walk through village. The cultural show at Goljung and Gatlang makes your trekking a memorable one. Gatlang set high on a hillside among terraced fields is a Tamang settlement. We also visit a Tamang monastery and the beautiful Parvatikunda Lake at Gatlang.
We make trek the ascent path all the way to Yuri Kharka passing through forests of fir, juniper, rhododendron, and local vegetation. During the monsoon, local people bring their domestic animals for grazing in Yuri Kharka.
Till Khurpudanda pass the trail moves uphill and you begin to follow descent path to reach Somdang. From the view point of Khurpudanda pass you can enjoy the spectacular views of Paldor, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Pangsang La and many more. En route you pass forests. At Somdang you can observe zinc mines.
This day you trek a gradual ascent path passing forests until you reach Paigutang Kharka. Now the trail goes steep up to Jasta Khani. On the way, you cross a rocky path covered by juniper. There is a zinc mine at Jasta Khani.
The path is ascent along the rocky glacier trail. While walking, you can enjoy the views of Paldor and the rock hills around you. We will sleep in a camping tent.
Before climbing Paldor Peak, we need good preparation for successful attempts such as adjusting to high altitude, checking the weather, being ready for physical fitness, read-through the Gear and equipment, and overall being ready for climbing success and safety.
The path moves through rocky glaciers. The views of Paldor East and Paldor West completely mesmerize you. Moreover, you can enjoy the views of rocky hills and green hills around you. From Paldor Base Camp to High Camp, we make trekking through picturesque and crossed rivers.
We start to climb very early in the morning, ascending through glacial moraine, ice slopes, rocky trails, and possibly crevasses on glaciers by using crampons, ice axes, and ropes and make footstep to the summit. At the summit of Paldor, you will be speechless by the panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Sisapangma, Langtang Lirung, Ganesh I, II, III, Manaslu, and views of Tibet Mountains. After making a successful attempt, we descend to base camp.
Now you walk straight downhill all the way to Paigutang Kharka and then the trail moves along a gradual descent path to Somdang. During hiking down to Somdang, cross several graze lands, army Camps, Chortens, and prayers stones and reach Somdang village. Have a good rest here in Somdang.
To reach Narchet Kharka you trek a gradual ascent path passing through forests and green hills. The views you can enjoy are of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Langtang Lirung, and many other unnamed mountains and peaks.
The trails you follow are quite descent at first and then it climbs up for some distance. En route, you cross forests covered with bamboo, pine, rhododendron, and waterfalls. Tipling is the first village you encounter on this route. It is a big Tamang village which is rich in mixed culture and has a chorten and church. The houses are made of wood, tin, and stones. People living here have their distinct life style and they are involved in making goods from bamboo sticks. Now you have to climb down steeply until you cross a suspension bridge over Gorkhen Khola (stream). After you cross, the trails go uphill up to Sertung. It is also a Gurung village. People of this area welcome the trekkers with their local culture.
The early part of your trail is gently up until you arrive at a small ridge. From here, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Ganesh Himal, farming terraces, a waterfall, and several villages at a distance. Now you climb down the ridge and cross farming terraces and local villages. After you take lunch at Borang, your trails turn downhill and uphill respectively to Jharlang. It can be best described as a Tamang village with its mixed culture.
We drive to Kathmandu from Jharlang today via khahare Bazaar and Dhading Besi; takes 6-7 hrs to reach Kathmandu.
Today is the rest day in the Kathmandu hotel and the final shopping for Home and today is a free day in Kathmandu.
