Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour

Chitwan national park was 1st national park of Nepal, established in 1973 and listed world heritage sites under UNESCO in 1984. It is located in southern part of Nepal in low land with an area of 932 sq km. The land is occupied with full of Himalayan subtropical broadleaf forests with predominately Sal trees about 70% of the national park area and rest of other bushes, grassland, marshland, lakes, and Rivers. This is one of the best jungle safari tour of Nepal to encounter wild animals, birds, and different species. 

The national park offers the beautiful activities such as Elephant Safari, Bird watching, Canoe, Jungle Walk, Jeep Safari and Elephant Bath. Beyond this, we have great opportunity to encounter Tharu lifestyle who are the original inhabitants of Chitwan national Park. Chitwan national park is the home of 68 mammal and 500 species of Birds whereas The Bengal tiger is the king of jungle. During jungle safari, we can see one horned Rhino, Bengal Tiger, Sloth Bear, Leopard, Monkeys, wild elephant, four horned antelope, Pangolin, Crocodile and more wild animals. Even, we can see best sunset view from Chitwan national Park too. 

The jungle safari of Chitwan National Park begins after having beautiful cultural sightseeing in Kathmandu. Our cultural guide will show you the important world heritages sites of Kathmandu and next day 5 hour drive to Chitwan by private transport through beautiful landscape such as mountain villages, Rivers, forests, Himalayas, waterfall and cities. Even one can also fly from Kathmandu to Bharatpur (Chitwan), takes 20 minutes to reach there by Plane. 

Chitwan Jungle Safari Program 

1: Elephant Safari

Elephant safari is one of the important program to explore wild animals such as Tiger, Rhino, Bear, and majestic creatures inside Chitwan national park. We will sit on the top of elephant and go inside national park where we are safe from wild animals. We will be close as some meter away from animals. Elephant is control by guide and we make photograph of wild animals. 

2: Jeep Safari

Jeep Safari is another beautiful tour program and it is higher chance to encounter wild animals nearby. There are two types of Jeep Safari one is short having 4 hour and another is full day safari having 7 people per trip in one Jeep. During Jeep Safari, we go center part of jungle to see residence of wild animals. 

3: Jungle Walk 

During our Jungle program, we also have jungle walk need some physical activities where our guide will be with us to explore animals, colorful birds and exciting species. The jungle walk is inside Chitwan national Park and the same time if you are interested to bird watching, you can have peaceful and silent walk inside forest. 

4: Canoe Ride

During canoe ride, we can see the wild animals that come to quench their thirst. We do Canoe in Rapti River which flows inside national Park. We seat inside the boat which is built by old Sal tree where boatman control our boat. We will also see crocodile who are lying out of water and inside whole. Even some birds come to play in the water that you can make good photograph. 

5: Bird watching

Our natural guide takes you to show different types of Birds inside Jungles, grassland and River banks. It is very easy to spotting Birds inside Chitwan national Park. 

6: Elephant Breeding Center

We also visit the place of Elephant breeding center where the child elephant plays with adults and they chew the grasses and very familiar with tourist. 

7: Tharu Dance 

In the evening, the local inhabitants Tharus comes to perform their classical dance and sing song with music in your resort. They perform following dance.

1.  Bhajayati dance: people dance with long stick and they beat stick each other. 
2. Thekar dance: They will come in a group and beat two stick each other. 
3. Dafu dance: In this dance, they use peacock feathers with musical instrument made from skin gold.
4. Jhumara dance: They sing holy song with remembering dead person in the community.
5. Fire Dance: Adult dance with fire to avoid wild animals who comes to nearby their house.
